Timed Godot Game Engine Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Ubuntu 23.10 was the fastest.
Timed Linux Kernel Compilation benchmark with settings of Build: allmodconfig. Ubuntu 23.10 was the fastest.
Timed LLVM Compilation benchmark with settings of Build System: Ninja. Ubuntu 23.10 was the fastest.
Timed Mesa Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Ubuntu 23.10 was the fastest.

Compile times can be slower on Ubuntu 24.04.

RocksDB benchmark with settings of Test: Overwrite. Ubuntu 24.04 29 March was the fastest.
RocksDB benchmark with settings of Test: Update Random. Ubuntu 24.04 29 March was the fastest.
RocksDB benchmark with settings of Test: Read Random Write Random. Ubuntu 24.04 29 March was the fastest.

In some I/O workloads like RocksDB there were some improvements to find with Ubuntu 24.04.

Ubuntu 24.04 overall continues to be in good shape across the various servers and desktops I've tested it on thus far. Look for the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS official release to happen on 25 April.
