As for the FireCuda 520 operating temperature without any heatsink, the Phoronix Test Suite was monitoring the drive temperatures during the entire benchmarking process. The FireCuda 520 had an average temperature of 44 degrees and a peak just under 58 degrees.

If taking the geometric mean of all the benchmarks carried out, the Seagate FireCuda 520 500GB model was about 19% faster than the Corsair Force MP600 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, largely thanks to the significant leads in the database tests. The FireCuda 520 was performing very well throughout with the exception of the sequential read performance coming up short.
