AMD Ryzen 7 7840U Windows 11 vs. Linux CPU Performance

The LuxCore CPU-based rendering benchmarks were mixed between Windows 11 and Linux.

Kvazaar benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Medium. Windows 11 Home was the fastest.

The Kvazaar H.265 video encoding performance showed Windows 11 running slightly faster than Linux. Interestingly here the performance with Linux 6.5 was slightly impacted by the AMD Inception mitigation.

SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 4, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Ubuntu 22.04 + Linux 6.5 Git + No Inception was the fastest.

The SVT-AV1 open-source AV1 video encoder performance was comparable between Windows 11 and Ubuntu on this Ryzen 7 7840U laptop. However, this is another video encoding test showing some performance implications due to the Inception mitigation.
