Windows 11 vs. Ubuntu Linux Performance On The Intel Core Ultra 7 Meteor Lake

With the popular Blender software, Ubuntu Linux had strong leads over Windows 11 on this Intel Meteor Lake laptop. Blender typically has stronger Linux performance than Windows, so it was great to see this continue with the Meteor Lake SoC tested.

With other creator workloads of Indigo and Appleseed, Linux continued to show stronger results than Windows 11.

Chaos Group V-RAY benchmark with settings of Mode: CPU. Ubuntu 23.10 + Linux 6.7 was the fastest.

With the proprietary Chaos Group V-RAY renderer, Ubuntu was around 7% faster than Microsoft Windows 11 as shipped by Acer.
