Google Cloud C3D Shows Great Performance With AMD EPYC Genoa
Across the wide variety of benchmarks carried out with Google Cloud C3D, the performance uplift from AMD EPYC Genoa was fantastic. Those interested can see all of my benchmark results via this result page.
Across the 74 benchmarks carried out, overall the C3D Genoa was around 64% faster than the similarly sized C2D VM powered by EPYC Milan. With the presence of AVX-512, DDR5 memory, and other Zen 4 architecture improvements, AMD EPYC 9004 "Genoa" is performing fantastic from bare metal to cloud and delivers a huge leap in generational server and HPC performance.
