AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U "Rembrandt" Linux Laptop Benchmarks
Alder Lake still commonly leads over Zen 3/3+ for OpenJDK Java workloads.
Or in workloads like Zstd compression where Intel has the upper-hand on compression speeds, at least with the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U are some nice improvements over the 5850U.
In some select workloads the older Tiger Lake Core i7-1185G7 came out on top thanks to its AVX-512 support.
For the most part the CPU performance of the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U is an incremental improvement over the 5850U, which is largely to be expected.
There were some nice power efficiency improvements going from the 5850U to 6850U.
In some cases the Core i7 1280P with Linux 5.18 was faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U but then on Linux 5.19 now falls behind or ties the 6850U due to the Intel Idle driver support for Alder Lake that aims to enhance the power efficiency.
But even on Linux 5.19 Git, the Core i7 1280P still tended to trail the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U power efficiency by quite a lot.
