But when firing up various OpenGL native Linux open-source games, the AMD Zen 2 CPUs were delivering better performance than the tested Intel Coffeelake processors.

With the brand new Blender 2.80 release, the Ryzen 3000 series performance is strong with more cores/threads compared to Intel's offerings. The Ryzen 5 3600X wasn't too far behind the previous top-end Ryzen 7 2700X processor.

Appleseed is a newer test profile added to the Phoronix Test Suite for stressing this Blender rendering alternative. The Ryzen 5 3600X performance was coming in line with expectations considering the core/thread counts.
