AMD Radeon PRO W7700 Launches As $999 GPU With Fully Open-Source Upstream Linux Drivers
In 3DMark on Linux, the W7700 was 56% faster than the W7600.
The W7700 tended to consume 40~50 Watts more than the W7600 under load.
The W7700 tended to be just ahead of the W7600 when it came to the performance-per-Watt.
For most workloads the W7700 came inline with expectations at 50~60% faster than the W7600. Again, apologies for the limited GPU comparison this generation due to lacking the higher-end W7000 series hardware and the equivalent Ada GPUs.
Thanks to all the optimizing done by AMD engineers to the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver, the Radeon and Radeon PRO graphics cards have been running SPECViewPerf great with this open-source OPenGL driver.
