Linux Tests Of The QNINE M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure To USB-C Adapter
The performance is very respectable and better than what we've seen out of many USB-to-SATA drives from the past, but while the performance was good and initial reliability, with time it seemed to suffer. At least under Linux, this QNINE adapter would randomly disconnect from the system after 6~10 hours. When rebooting the system, the QNINE adapter would come back, but after an extended period of time would randomly disconnect again after several hours. Depending upon your intended use-case, it could be a blocker and was for me but easily returned the drive to Amazon. Eventually I'll try again with a different brand NVMe SSD to USB adapter in looking for better reliability.
