AMD Radeon Linux Gaming Performance At Parity Between KDE Plasma 6.0 X11 vs. Wayland

DiRT Rally 2.0 benchmark with settings of Resolution: 2560 x 1080, Graphics Preset: Ultra. GNOME Shell 42.9: Wayland was the fastest.
DiRT Rally 2.0 benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 1600, Graphics Preset: Ultra. GNOME Shell 42.9: Wayland was the fastest.

DiRT Rally 2.0 running under Steam Play showed no performance difference between GNOME vs. KDE or X11 vs. (X)Wayland environments.

ET: Legacy benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160. KDE Plasma 6.0.3: Wayland was the fastest.

The open-source ET: Legacy game worked equally well across all four environments.

F1 22 benchmark with settings of Resolution: 1920 x 1080, Graphics Preset: Ultra High. GNOME Shell 42.9: X11 was the fastest.

The F1 22 and HITMAN 3 games running under Steam Play showed the KDE Plasma 6.0 performance with the Wayland session working out as well as X11 and matching that of GNOME.

Metro: Last Light Redux benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160. KDE Plasma 6.0.3: X11 was the fastest.

The KDE Plasma 6.0 experience overall was great and in my testing hadn't run into any Wayland issues with the shiny new desktop.
