There are also some minor alterations to the case for improving ventilation with the RSV-4310 and also switching to perforated expansion slot covers rather than the solid covers on the earlier models. Besides that there are just some other minor changes like rubber padding under the power supply mount to help with alignment.

So it's certainly a evolutionary upgrade to Rosewill's traditional 4U enclosure with basically the long overdue transition to USB 3.0 ports, upgraded fans, and other minor differences like switching from plastic to metal for the 3.5-inch drive bay carriers.

Part of what led me to becoming a fan of the Rosewill rackmount cases in the first place were their affordable price (generally $80~90 USD) and not being able to find any better solution for less than $100 USD. Unfortunately, the RSV-4310 and other Rosewill 4U cases have seen price hikes in recent months... As of writing, the RSV-4310 is retailing for about $109 USD, which still puts it on the lower-cost side of 4U rackmountable server cases, but about $20~30 USD more than what we have been paying in the past. Presumably though this may be due in part due to steel tariffs or other trade costs, so hopefully in the future we'll see the Rosewill 4U cases dip back below $100 USD to make it a more compelling option for SOHO / enthusiast / budget server builds.
