Lastly the new Intel Core U Processor Series 1 wares are being featured at the Consumer Electronics Show for thin and light laptops. The new Intel Core U processors feature up to 10 cores: 2 P cores and 8 E cores with the Intel Core 7 150U. In addition to the flagship Intel Core 7 150U there is also the Intel Core 5 120U and Intel Core 3 100U being announced today.

As standard for the industry, lots of Windows benchmarks being put out by Intel for these new wares given the target market. While it looks like there may be some Windows reviews/previews out imminently, unfortunately on the newly-announced mobile processors, I unfortunately wasn't seeded with any of the new hardware in advance.

That's the quick overview for now while awaiting any hands-on for digging more into the Linux support and performance for these newest Intel processors.
