Last week we had looked at the Corsair DHX 4GB DDR2-800MHz memory, which performed and overclocked very well and featured Corsair's exclusive Dual-Path Heat Xchange cooling technology. Today though we are looking at the more mainstream A-DATA Gaming DDR2-800 4GB Kit. This memory is less expensive than Corsair's DHX memory, but has higher latencies and simple heatspreaders. As you will find from reading this article, the overclocking potential is quite limited.

Features:

- DDR2-800MHz
- CL: 5-5-5-12
- Voltage: 1.9V ~ 2.1V
- Supports EPP, Enhanced Performance Profiles
- 2 x 2GB Kit

The A-DATA Gaming Series memory arrived in a small cardboard package with the two memory modules being visible through a cutout area. On the back of the packaging is text that explains why A-DATA believes the Vitesta Gaming Series is the best choice and provides the best quality / service. Inside the box the two 2GB memory modules were resting within a plastic tray. A piece of paper that explains how to properly install DDR2 memory is also included.
