For ultra-low power offload of common camera image processing such as autofocus, real-time noise reduction, and tone-mapping.

You can now run an internet service provider out of your AMD processor's built-in graphics!

Would that also include any sort of video compression? Usually some program demans some sort of codec to be used e.g. in video conferencing. Just wondering.
Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

It will benefit all the cards equally because it'll allow even faster communication between API and bare metal. Pretty much every card amdgpu supports should benefit.

I have no idea where you got any of that from.

So is this the enablement of all features of cvml block featured in roadmaps leaked 2020. this would also make sens of the Firmware Version 4. which would mean amd was not content with the hw of the previous generation apu redarding to this isp usecase. Sometimes ai npu are also refered to with the term ai-isp.

This is going to be used for image processing with "dumb" camera modules that do little more than providing raw access to the image data. Might be used for webcams on laptops. Intel already supports this, but it's not without problems on Linux.
